Guacamole and Salsa
Classic Guacamole

  • 2 ripe avocados, peeled and pitted (I prefer California Haas avocados)
  • Juice of 1 lime, or to taste
  • ¼ cup finely diced red onion
  • ¼ cup finely chopped fresh cilantro leaves
  • 1 jalapeno, minced
  • Kosher salt, to taste
  • Freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  1. Place avocados and lime juice in a bowl and roughly mash with a fork
  2. Stir in onion, cilantro and jalapeno
  3. Season with salt and pepper
  4. Taste and adjust seasoning as needed
